Parabel UK and Climate Change Ventures(CCV) are pleased to announce the signing of a Collaboration Agreement to develop green energy projects aimed at enabling Local Authorities to achieve their Carbon Net Zero goals. This will be their top priority, but the agreement envisages a broader application across a number of high energy consumption sectors, utilizing the combined specialist knowledge, experience and expertise of both parties in successful cleantech ventures.
Parabel UK is a member of the Parabel group of companies. Parabel is headquartered in Berlin and has been operating since 1992 as an engineering, procurement and construction company for solar energy systems, as well as a project developer for roof and ground mounted systems. Parabel has built 200MW of PV, mainly in Europe, but also in the Olympic Park in Beijing. It is currently involved in a 400MW infrastructure development. Parabel UK has completed 5 PV projects in the UK amounting to 25 MW and has 5 more currently in progress. Steffen Bruss, Director of Parabel UK, welcomed the prospect of the two companies working together saying, “The combination of our experience in taking solar projects from planning to production – and all the steps in between, combined with the sector expertise of CCV in conceiving and delivering integrated energy solutions, is in my view, a winning combination. Their innovative approach to the generation and use of hydrogen is a game changer”.
Climate Change Ventures brings together some of the foremost experts in current and emerging low carbon, end-to-end, technological solutions. The company is headquartered in the United Kingdom and is led by Horácio Carvalho, who has spent more than four decades—and raised over 10 billion euros—developing projects in the cleantech and renewable energy sectors. CCV is able to capitalize on its broad network of stakeholder relationships to provide significant support to organisations like local councils, poised to incorporate proven sustainability initiatives into their climate change strategies. CCV’s most recent initiative to bring green hydrogen to the transport and other carbon emitting sectors illustrates the bold and disruptive moves the company is prepared to make to drive organisations to meet their climate goals.
Horacio Carvalho declared, “We are at an unique moment in the history of powering our world. Technologies are now available to us that will make the air that we breathe and the energy that we use – greener, cleaner and cheaper. But we must not let this moment pass without grasping all the benefits that it has to offer. We need to act now, before it is too late.”
